If It Doesn’t Challenge You, It Doesn’t Change You
I’m no stranger to challenges. They motivate me. Whether it was hiking up a 5,700 ft White Mountain last summer or pushing through the rigorous study for my personal training certification (which, honestly, felt harder than climbing that mountain!), I’ve learned that growth comes from facing what feels tough.
But here’s the thing—sometimes it’s the seemingly small challenges that are the hardest to overcome. Like committing to daily bone-strengthening exercises. That’s where real, lasting change begins.

The core challenge is showing up for yourself every single day. It’s about supporting your bone health and overall wellness with consistent, intentional effort. Everyone starts at a different level, and that’s okay. But the key? Whatever you choose must challenge you enough to create change. And when it starts feeling easy, it's time to level up. Why Challenge Matters
Aging is a reality. Muscle mass naturally decreases by 3-8% per decade after age 30, and bone density can drop by 10% per decade. After 60, these declines accelerate. This loss of strength contributes to falls, fractures, and serious health risks. In fact, an elderly person who falls and breaks a hip has a high risk of passing away within a year.
But here’s the good news: it's never too late to build strength, improve balance, and enhance posture. That’s my mission—to inspire YOU to challenge yourself and stay ahead of the aging process. Real change requires real effort. To strengthen bones and muscles, you have to stress them appropriately.
- Sitting on the couch too much? Start with sit-to-stands and brisk walks.
- Taking a weekly yoga class? Amazing! Now, add some resistance training.
- Already lifting weights? Great! It’s time to lift heavier.
